Common questions

My PGN won't parse — what's wrong?

Tempo64 expects standard PGN tag pairs (Event / Site / Date / White / Black / Result) followed by the move list. If a Chess.com or Lichess export is failing, try copying the moves manually — sometimes site-specific annotations or unicode characters trip the parser. If the same PGN works elsewhere but not in Tempo64, email it to us and we'll fix it.

A chess.com URL won't import.

Tempo64 supports /game/<id> and /game/live/<id> URLs — the share links chess.com gives you for player games. Archived master games at /games/view/<id> aren't supported (chess.com doesn't expose them via the public API); for those, copy the PGN directly from the game page and paste it into the app.

My render finished but the video isn't in Photos.

Make sure Tempo64 has permission to add to your photo library — Settings → Tempo64 → Photos → "Add Only". The video also stays in the app's library (Welcome screen → Your videos) for 7 days regardless; you can save to Photos from there at any time.

Voice or face-cam commentary isn't recording.

Check microphone and camera permissions in Settings → Tempo64. The first time you record, iOS asks for access; if you denied it, the toggles will be off and you'll need to flip them back on manually.

How do I cancel my Studio subscription?

Inside the app: Settings → Manage Subscription. Or on your iPhone: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Tempo64 → Cancel. You keep Studio access until the end of the current billing period.

I subscribed but Studio features aren't unlocking.

Tap Restore Purchases in the app's Settings screen — this re-syncs your StoreKit entitlement. If that doesn't fix it within a minute, email us with the Apple ID email you used to subscribe and we'll dig in.
